Daikin India, a leading manufacturer of air conditioning systems, has launched its third research and development (R&D) facility in Neemrana, Rajasthan, with an investment of INR 5 billion. Daikin India, a subsidiary of Daikin Industries based in Japan, has an existing mechanical R&D centre in Neemrana, along with an AI-Iot lab in Hyderabad. More than 500 engineers will be employed at the new centre, which will be devoted to researching and developing HVACR products that satisfy changing energy regulations, modern technology, and refrigerant requirements for Indian and worldwide markets.
The recently opened Neemrana facility enhances this ecosystem by featuring 22 specialised testing laboratories aimed at facilitating the development of sophisticated HVACR solutions.
KJ Jawa, Chairman and Managing Director of Daikin India, remarks that the new R&D centre marks a key achievement in Daikin’s journey and will play a crucial role in establishing Daikin as a leader in innovation, technology, and engineering in the Indian market.
Also, improving export preparedness and aligning with global energy and technology standards, and is designed to produce a diverse array of innovative products. A notable highlight is one of India’s largest air-cooled chiller testing facilities, with a capacity of 600 TR, which reflects Daikin’s dedication to advanced engineering and maintaining global competitiveness.
