Copeland has completed a renovation of its Vilter industrial refrigeration facility in Cudahy, Wisconsin, investing $14 million to improve training areas, workspaces, and employee well-being. The facility stands to improve sustainability and energy efficiency, creating more job opportunities for the local community.

The renovated 400,000-square-foot facility has better facilities for staff members, new workspaces, and larger training areas. Helping clients understand new technologies and offering training to maximise system performance and promote sustainability objectives are the objectives.

The facility now features 16,000 square feet of upgraded training spaces and modern collaboration areas to better educate customers on evolving industry technologies. It also includes a new cafeteria, a gym, and revamped workspaces designed to improve employee health, well-being, and productivity. Copeland anticipates a further 10% increase in employment due to this renovation, opening up more positions in manufacturing, engineering, and other crucial fields. This growth reflects increased opportunities for skilled professionals in operations, engineering, and project management.

Marian Zincke, vice president of Copeland, stated, “We choose to invest in Cudahy because of the talented workforce and the city’s location, which gives us access to skilled professionals.” With the company’s upgraded Vilter technology, customers can lower their energy expenses and achieve sustainability goals.

Copeland’s Vilter-branded industrial compression solutions are critical to its mission to accelerate the energy transition. Its advanced compression technologies enable customers to move to low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and reduce energy consumption.
