Nuaire, a Caerphilly-based UK ventilation solutions supplier, is to be sponsoring the Building Engineering Services Association (BESA) Clean Air Day event on June 20 at The Wave in Bristol. The seminar, presented by the BESA Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Group, will focus on ‘Shaping the Future of Healthy Environments.’
Nuaire will sponsor a sponsorship event to present its ventilation solutions and engage with delegates committed to clean air. The event will include presentations from the BESA IAQ Specialist Group, which is shaping the future of air quality initiatives, and an update on the BESA Schools Engagement Project on Ventilation and Air Quality. Key customers will also gain industry insight.
The 2024 BESA Clean Air Day event, Nuaire Managing Director Meirion Richards said, “As the UK’s largest air pollution campaign, Clean Air Day provides an opportunity to focus attention on this very serious subject.”
“It’s important people from all walks of life understand the health risks of air pollution, but it’s also important that, as industry professionals, we look at the solutions. BESA has been at the forefront of championing the cause of cleaner, healthier air for all, and we are pleased to be supporting them on Clean Air Day.”
The Clean Air Day focuses on transportation. With automobiles and vans being the primary source of NOx pollution, Clean Air Day encourages everyone to take action to help make transport cleaner and greener. However, when it comes to air quality within buildings, where people spend the bulk of their time, exterior contaminants are only one aspect of the problem. Pollutant sources in interior settings vary greatly, ranging from cleaning products and cooking to furniture and even the cloth used to build dwellings.
There has been less research on interior air pollution in comparison to exterior pollutants, but what people do know is that effective ventilation can disperse and eliminate indoor pollutants while also preventing moisture and mould formation. Nuaire, founded in 1966, has created a broad variety of ventilation solutions for the residential, commercial, and industrial building sectors, providing inhabitants with clean, healthy air.
