Lochinvar, a leading manufacturer of high-efficiency boilers, has introduced its first electric boiler, the LECTRUS™ Light Commercial Electric Boiler, suitable for residential and commercial applications.
Lochinvar, a pioneer in high-efficiency boilers and water heaters, introduces the LECTRUS™ Light Commercial Electric Boiler. This revolutionary solution gives clients flexibility while also assisting the industry’s shift to electrification and decarbonisation.
Lochinvar has introduced its first electric boiler, the LECTRUS, which is designed and built in-house. Available in kW capacities ranging from 15 kW to 150 kW, it is suitable for residential and commercial applications. The adaptable unit can be deployed in any interior setting, even below freezing, making it ideal for industries like healthcare, education, and government buildings seeking sustainable alternatives to natural gas or propane models.
Customers switching to or upgrading a fully electric boiler system can cascade up to eight LECTRUS units of varying sizes to create a system that best suits their application needs. Alternatively, customers who are looking to reduce their carbon emissions while still utilizing gas products can install the LECTRUS boiler alongside other condensing and non-condensing Lochinvar boilers to optimize performance and reduce carbon emissions.

The LECTRUS Electric Boiler is a user-friendly unit with customizable cascade and low water cutoff. It comes with Lochinvar’s SMART SYSTEM™ LCD operating control platform, which allows for modulation and staging of elements within the full kW range of the boiler. The modulation control board ensures equal runtime across each bank, while the triac board controls a fully modulating element bank for precise temperature control and close to 100 percent turndown. This prevents contactor over-cycling and overshooting, extending the boiler’s life and saving customers money.
