Electronics company PT LG Electronics Indonesia has opened the LG Air Conditioning Academy, a training facility for LG’s air conditioning experts in Indonesia.
Visitors will be able to peruse LG’s flagship Multi V 5 line for the VRF market, which includes indoor and outdoor units alongside their control accessories. Meanwhile, the training space will provide participants with direct training from the LG team, which include Spec in Engineer and Field Engineer. “The opening of a special academy for personnel involved in air conditioning for commercial buildings is part of our efforts to increase satisfaction for customers who entrust their HVAC systems to LG,” says LG Electronics Indonesia President Lee Taejin, adding that as a product designed for commercial buildings, the air conditioning system had unique characteristics as it involved a large number of people, from planning and installation to maintenance.
The training session will take place two to three times a week, carried out from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the material varying according to the needs of the participants. While participants or LG’s business partners who send their employees to participate will not be charged for the training, participants will be required to take special exams based on the material provided in an effort to maintain the quality of the training. LG will also provide a certificate of completion of the training according to the material followed. “We believe that increasing knowledge of the various parties involved in this business will be an important key to strengthening our position in the competitive Indonesian HVAC market,” said Changmin Han, product director of air solutions at PT LG Electronics Indonesia.
The facility is located at Jl. Panglima Polim No. 69 in Jakarta, the 226 sqm facility is split into two main sections: a 90 sqm showroom and a 136 sqm training space.
In its initial phase, the Commercial Air Conditioning and System Air Conditioning special training is limited to LG’s business partners, including the air cooling system planning team at a contractor or engineering consultant company, installers, technical project teams and building-maintenance teams. For business partners who are interested, PT LG Electronics Indonesia Air Solution Sales Director Edy Sucipto refers to the LG Air Conditioning Academy team, either through representatives of LG sales force or the team dealing with business partners. Although currently limited to LG business partners, the LG Air Conditioning Academy will also be open to providing training for other parties in the future, including educational staff and engineering students who are interested in learning the ins and outs of air conditioning systems for commercial buildings. For more info, visit: https://www.lg.com/in
