Atlas Copco acquired Climorent, a provider of specialty rental solutions for industrial cooling applications, in Catalonia, Spain.
In a strategic move to bolster its industrial cooling solutions offerings, Atlas Copco announced the acquisition of Climorent, a prominent specialty rental provider based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Climorent, with a workforce of 15 employees. They reported revenues of approximately 2 million euros (21 million Swedish kronor) in 2022. The company primarily caters to clients in diverse industrial sectors, including chemicals and the food and beverage industry.
The acquisition comes at a time when rising concerns about climate change are driving a surge in demand for efficient cooling solutions across various industrial applications. “Climorent has a strong local presence in the rental industrial cooling solutions sector and holds significant growth potential,” stated Andrew Walker, Business Area President of Power Technique at Atlas Copco.
Although the financial details of the transaction have not been disclosed, this move signifies Atlas Copco’s commitment to expanding its presence and capabilities in the cooling solutions market. Climorent will now operate as part of the Specialty Rental Division within the Power Technique Business Area, further enhancing Atlas Copco’s ability to meet the evolving needs of industrial clients in Spain and beyond.
