MSD Controls offers a variety of fire protection products that address different needs. The range includes an addressable fire alarm system, a gas suppression system, and a fire protection system designed specifically for Li-ion battery energy storage systems. These products have undergone stringent testing and are predominantly certified as UL Listed & FM Approved Systems or VDS or LPCB-approved Standalone FAS Series. With these certifications, customers can be assured that the products are dependable, efficient, and comply with the most stringent safety standards.
Cerberus PRO UL Compact: UL Listed & FM Approved System Remote access point
The Cerberus PRO UL Compact system comes equipped with CO detection capabilities. While the smaller 50-point panel is ideal for small standalone systems, it can also be fully networked with larger 250 and 500-point panels with onboard TCP/IP connectivity. This system features Addressable ISO technology Multi-sensor & Heat Detectors that are UL listed FM Approved with in-built isolation. Additionally, it is compatible with legacy H series devices and the newer O series detectors and X series Devices. Furthermore, the integrated release is also supported.
Cerberus PRO Modular (CPM) – UL Listed & FM Approved
The Cerberus PRO MODULAR (CPM) system features fully modular construction, with support for 1 to 10 loops, each capable of supporting 252 addresses in any combination of detectors or devices. It can accommodate up to 2500 addressable points across 10 loops and boasts a 6-inch backlit LCD with HAZMAT icons. The system also incorporates Addressable ISO technology Multi-sensor & Heat Detectors that are UL listed FM Approved with in-built isolation and X Device Modules (Input/Output) that support Class X wiring and come with in-built isolation. For maintenance operations, the system offers a touchscreen interface with function keys, and it has a 5000-event history-logging capability that supports both online and offline reporting. The system also features DEGRADE MODE OPERATION. The Cerberus PRO MODULAR system also offers optional integrated voice evacuation and integral firefighter telephone system (FFT) capability.
Cerberus PRO EN: VDS & FM Approved System
The Cerberus PRO EN system offers a range of panels, including fixed loop options of 1, 2, or 4 and modular expandable panels. All Detectors and Devices have built-in Isolators for enhanced safety, and all notification appliances are addressable loop-powered type.
This system is designed to support longer loop lengths of up to 3000m to 3300m (depending on individual loop loading), and repeater panels can be connected directly in the loop with a built-in isolator, eliminating the need for additional power supply. The control panels have built-in TCP/IP connectivity, ensuring faster and more efficient communication.
Additionally, all control panels have a Degrade mode operational circuit for additional safety, eliminating the need for a redundant CPU and saving on costs.
Cerberus FIT 360 – LPCB approved Standalone FAS Series
The Cerberus FIT 360 is an addressable and standalone fire alarm series that is non-networkable. The Loop Panel supports a maximum of 126 addresses and can accommodate up to 252 addresses in any combination. The system features loop-powered NACs and has built-in isolation in all detectors, devices, and modules.
This system is LPCB approved and conforms to EN 54 standards, making it a reliable option for small to medium-sized inquiries where expansion, networking, or a full-featured FAS is not required.
Gas suppression (total room flooding) systems
Siemens provides two fire suppression systems under SINORIX: Chemical Clean Agent-based and Inert Natural Gas-based. Both types of systems are VDS approved for their quality and effectiveness.
The Chemical Clean Agent systems, which use NOVEC 1230 and HFC 227ea, are approved by VDS and are designed for total room flooding at a 42 Bar pressure. Meanwhile, the Inert Natural Gas systems, which use IG01, IG55, IG541, and IG100, are also VDS-approved and designed for total room flooding at a higher pressure of 300 Bar.
