Danfoss has launched its BIM Tool, a software service solution that enables clients and stakeholders to use Building Information Modelling (BIM) to improve project efficiency and cooperation.
We are thrilled to announce the debut of our brand-new BIM Tool, a software service solution that enables our clients and stakeholders to use Building Information Modelling (BIM) to improve project efficiency and cooperation.
BIM is digitalizing how buildings and HVAC projects are designed, built, and operated. It allows users to generate virtual models that include all of the necessary information about a building, from architectural designs to mechanical systems.
By integrating BIM Tool into their workflows, HVAC professionals can unlock a range of benefits, including:
Streamlined Collaboration: Using the most recent Danfoss BIM models improves communication and coordination between teams and stakeholders. Improved Efficiency: Accurate Danfoss BIM models simplify design chores and improve project planning, resulting in substantial time and cost savings. educated Decision-Making: Access to product data improves building performance analysis, allowing for optimal energy use and educated decision-making. Risk Reduction: Using digital twins of items identifies concerns early on, reducing rework and building delays. The Danfoss BIM Tool was developed in collaboration with a number of professional customers and refined after extensive beta testing.
“We encourage all BIM designers, architects, engineers, contractors, and facility managers to download and use the Danfoss BIM Tool,” said Bennie Lam, Danfoss Climate Solutions BIM Manager. “Together, we can simplify and improve the quality of HVAC designs with BIM.”
It now comprises the bulk of our Hydronic HVAC product portfolio and will be added on a regular basis. Danfoss also included popular ‘assembly goods’ BIM files, such as control valves and actuators combined into a single assembly, to fulfil the needs of MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) designers.
Developed in cooperation with some expert customers, the Danfoss BIM Tool has been refined through extensive beta testing. It now contains a majority of our Hydronic HVAC product portfolio and will be expanded regularly. We also included popular ‘assembly products’ BIM files, such as control valves and actuators merged into one assembly, to meet the preferences of MEP (Mechanical Electrical Plumbing) designers.
