CAREL is presenting its latest innovations developed for the refrigeration sector at Chillventa 2024, to be held from 8 to 10 October in Nuremberg. The main focus is on energy efficiency, advanced connectivity, and the use of natural refrigerants. The aim is to respond to the pressing need for sustainable refrigeration.
Commercial and industrial refrigeration accounts for 17 percent of global electricity consumption, making the adoption of technologies that optimise performance and reduce energy consumption essential. At Chillventa 2024, CAREL will present a range of solutions designed to maximise energy efficiency and improve sustainability in food retail, food service, and cold chain applications.
MPXPRO: superior connectivity and energy performance
Among the main new products and solutions on the show is the new MPXPRO, the evolution of the CAREL controller for remote cabinets and cold rooms. This cutting-edge solution guarantees three main benefits: universality, on a compact and flexible platform; extended and uniform usability across the entire range; advanced connectivity, with superior performance through the integration of Bluetooth®, NFC and connection to supervisory systems. MPXPRO optimises energy use and also facilitates remote system management and predictive maintenance.
Solutions for plug-in and semi-plug-in cabinets with natural refrigerants
The new HeosPro and rotary compressors offered by CAREL stand out for their compatibility with propane charges of up to 500 g, maximising the energy efficiency of refrigerated cabinets. This technology exploits the possibility of using low GWP natural refrigerants, helping reduce climate impact, in compliance with F-GAS regulations.
Total-Store: scalability and management of proprietary and third-party technologies for a transition to natural refrigerants
Total-Store is an integrated solution designed to manage refrigeration, HVAC and lighting technologies, optimising energy consumption in new builds and retrofits of existing stores. Through centralised, remote management of all areas of energy consumption, the system brings significant reductions in operating costs and better control of energy efficiency. Moreover, integration with the RED-optimised multi-site platform further improves energy performance management and increases optimisation capabilities. RED optimise provides a detailed and comparative overview of the performance of connected stores, identifying any inefficiencies and suggesting improvement strategies. The platform can be used to monitor and log data in real-time, facilitating the implementation of corrective actions and optimisations. These can also be performed remotely, improving service continuity and significantly reducing energy and maintenance costs.
Technology on Stage: interactive experience at the CAREL stand
Throughout the exhibition, CAREL will be offering visitors the opportunity to take part in the “Technology on Stage” panels, during which the advanced features of the digital and software solutions will be illustrated.
There will be presentation of the new MPXPRO and a discussion on the regulatory situation for R-290 natural refrigerant in plug-in and semi-plug-in systems. Also, there will be a presentation on APPLICA, the mobile app that simplifies the work of technical personnel, making system configuration, monitoring and maintenance much easier.
These meetings represent a unique opportunity to discover how CAREL’s technologies can optimise system performance while reducing costs and improving sustainability.
Michele Mohorovicich, CAREL Regional Marketing Manager Refrigeration – EMEA comments, “With technologies such as HeosPro and MPXPRO, we aim to facilitate the transition to natural refrigerants and offer our customers advanced tools to optimise their systems.”
