Johnson Controls is expanding its Guangzhou HVAC plant manufacturing capability to improve Silent-Aire AHU production for hyper-scale data centres. This strategic investment supports the APAC region’s growing demand and reinforces the commitment to Smart, sustainable solutions for global data centre growth.
AHUs designed for precision cooling are critical in maintaining the ideal data centre environment by controlling temperature, humidity and air quality. They protect sensitive equipment from overheating and other damage to ensure efficient performance.
Johnson Controls is adding new production capability to its Guangzhou HVAC plant to meet the growth in the data centre. The company is launching its latest Silent-Aire air handling unit (AHU) technology, designed for hyperscale data centre applications. The first units will be delivered in the new year across the APAC region as Johnson Controls continues to invest in and expand its data centre leadership globally.
Todd Grabowski, president of Johnson Controls Data Center Solutions business, said, “We are thrilled to announce this important milestone in our data centre strategy. By regionalising our core technology platforms, we can more quickly respond to market demand and minimise lead times producing components more efficiently and sustainably. We have a strong, expert team in Guangzhou that works hand in glove with our data centre teams globally, ensuring that our customers benefit from a consistent approach to engineering, manufacturing, commissioning, installation and service across all of their sites. Our new global manufacturing footprint offers our data centre partners a unique global solution.”
Johnson Controls Silent-Aire business specialises in the design and manufacturing of advanced AHU solutions that are efficient, reliable and sustainable.
