Carrier Transicold introduces Vector 8200 Engineless TRU solution for Trailer Storage

Carrier Transicold showcased the Vector™ 8200, a fully electric refrigeration unit for trailers at the Advanced Clean Transportation ACT Expo 2025 in Anaheim, California, that allows for single and multi-temperature storage without the use of diesel engines.

Carrier Transicold has introduced the Vector™ 8200, an all-electric, engineless refrigeration unit with single and multi-temperature capabilities, designed for trailers used for stationary cold storage.

The Vector 8200 eliminates the fuel consumption, emissions, noise, and operating expenses related to a diesel-powered engine and generator by using electricity from the grid or other external power sources. The TRU-Demand E-Drive™ energy management system adjusts to changes in a facility’s electrical supply, maintaining voltage during brownouts and reducing grid strain when multiple units restart after power outages. There are four options for remote evaporators, giving you the freedom to cool trailers with one, two, or three compartments.
