The data loggers send information to the TempTrak application on a user’s cellphone. Each data logger monitors preset environmental conditions that are defined by the user; they can provide audio and visual alerts to enable staff to take immediate corrective actions when conditions fall outside of safe parameters, helping to mitigate high-cost temperature events. Additional real-time alerts can be provided through a variety of methods such as SMS (text) and email notifications. Information recorded to the TempTrak database is time-stamped, reducing the potential for human error. Further, the data loggers have an integrated, high-contrast display that helps ensure compliance with Vaccines for Children (VFC) guidelines, a program that provides vaccines to children across the U.S. whose parents or guardians may not be able to afford them.
