Munters expands to offer data centre cooling solutions

Munters has signed an agreement to acquire Geoclima, whose product offering completes Munters Data Center Technologies (DCT) cooling portfolio improving the company’s ability to offer solutions to the total data centre cooling market.

Through the proposed acquisition, Munters gains access to chiller technology, which plays a critical role in the data centre cooling market. The acquisition of Geoclima, an Italian manufacturer of air- and water-cooled chillers, is a part of Munter’s strategy to expand into new markets and broaden the product portfolio.

The acquisition will close after the restructuring of the Geoclima group’s legal entities is completed and is subject to customary closing conditions applicable in Italy. The proposed acquisition is to be completed in the second half of 2024.
