CAREL will showcase two new residential heat pump products at MCE 2024, UL certified and ATEX compliant, and a three-phase inverter for natural refrigerants.

CAREL’s participation at MCE 2024 CAREL will coincide with the presentation of two innovative new products for the residential heat pump market.

Heat pumps play an important role in the decarbonisation of the domestic heating industry, lowering CO2 emissions. Heat pump sales are steadily expanding in Europe and the United States, demonstrating the technology’s growing importance in the HVAC business. To meet these new challenges, CAREL is dedicated to offering safe and dependable components for handling heat pump refrigerant circuits. A3 ready products guarantee the highest safety, reducing the risk of ignition in the event of contact with flammable refrigerants such as propane (R-290), which are increasingly used in the sector.

E2V-K hermetic expansion valve for high temperatures. The new expansion valve is designed to handle fluid temperatures up to 100°C. UL certification and compliance with ATEX regulations ensure the safe and reliable operation of heat pumps using natural refrigerants. The numerous sizes available cover a wide range of heating capacities.

3-phase inverter with active PFC. The revolutionary three-phase inverter, which has already received recognition at the recent ICONIC Awards, has features that distinguish it as a market leader. The integrated filtering stage and power factor control enable complete compliance with harmonic emission laws, resulting in great efficiency and reduced energy usage. Management of variable speed compressors has been optimised compared to traditional drives, consequently extending the operating limits of the envelope, A3 ready certification means it can be used with natural refrigerants, for environmental sustainability.

“CAREL continues to lead the way in innovation in the residential heat pump sector, offering advanced solutions to promote energy efficiency and sustainability,” commented Roberto Sandano, CAREL Group Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, HVAC. “The new proposals to be presented at MCE confirm CAREL’s commitment to offering cutting-edge systems that not only improve performance but also significantly contribute to lowering environmental impact.”
