Air compressor and fluid power specialist Ingersoll Rand has launched Ingersoll Rand Transport Solutions (IRTS), focused on developing vehicle-mounted transport solutions and fuel systems for the fuel transportation market.

This new venture comes after the merger between Ingersoll Rand and Gardner Denver. Under the umbrella organization IRTS (Ingersoll Rand Transport Solutions), four well-regarded global brands—Gardner Denver Transport Solutions, GHH RAND®, EMCO Wheaton Fuel Systems, and TODO—will be consolidated. IRTS will serve as a unifying force, fostering innovation, providing capital, and facilitating global opportunities on a larger scale, all while adhering to a sustainable market approach.

Paul Pearson, Business Line Director EMEIA and Asia, Ingersoll Rand Transport Solutions, said of the new business, “IRTS has been formed to help our business focus on innovation specifically within the alternative fuel transportation segment. The industry is undergoing unprecedented change as we migrate from fossil fuels to alternative energy sources.”

“Through Gardner Denver Transport Solutions, GHH RAND, EMCO Wheaton and TODO, IRTS adopts a heritage of innovation. Our long-term strategy is to further this legacy and continue to design and develop innovative bulk and liquid transfer solutions, electrified compressor packages, fuel systems and dry break couplers, which help our customers overcome their sustainability, new mobility, and market challenges”, says Paul Pearson.

IRTS is adopting Gardner Denver’s technologies for bulk and liquid transfer solutions and electric compressors, EMCO Wheaton’s road tanker equipment and fleet fuelling systems, TODO’s dry break couplers, and GHH RAND’s bulk compressor tanker solutions. The company’s primary focus is to drive further innovation and expansion of the product portfolios of these four strategic brands, enabling customers to adopt more sustainable transportation solutions.

IRTS is built upon three essential service pillars: innovation, collaboration, and scalability. By leveraging Ingersoll Rand’s research and development capabilities and global presence, there is an anticipation that these four strategic brands will continue to establish closer partnerships with businesses to develop tailor-made transport solutions.
