To enhance production of energy recovery ventilator systems company plans to produce 200,000 units in FY 2023.
Over the past several years, with a growing worldwide interest in air quality including air ventilation and sterilization, the demand for ventilation fans, energy recovery ventilator systems, air purifiers, and other relevant products is rising.
Panasonic Corporation announced that Panasonic Ecology Systems Co., Ltd. (PES) and Panasonic Ecology Systems Guangdong Co., Ltd. built the First Shunde Branch Plant – a new factory for IAQ devices such as energy recovery ventilator systems and air purifiers, in the Shunde District of the City of Foshan, China, and began operation and shipment. This is the second factory in China for this product category. It plans to produce 120,000 energy recovery ventilator systems this fiscal year and aims to produce 200,000 units in FY 2023. Although PES has been manufacturing these IAQ-related products at its Shunde Plant in China, it began the construction of the new factory in July 2020 to meet strong demand.
The new factory has introduced energy-conserving air conditioning systems, and, in order to accelerate Panasonic’s environmental efforts, this factory will make further use of renewable energy (solar power generation and fuel cells) and promote energy visualization. With the operation of the First Shunde Branch Plant, PES will supply products in China and throughout the world, providing new value for air and water.
Panasonic Ecology Systems Guangdong Co., Ltd. established in 1993 has operated as a main overseas production base of IAQ devices such as ventilation systems, air purifiers, and bathroom dryers. It also incorporates development and sales functions and has achieved the largest market share of energy recovery ventilator systems in China.
