Emerson Introduces New Variable Speed Scroll Compressor Solution

Emerson’s new Copeland variable speed scroll compressor and inverter drive solution deliver high energy efficiency and performance for commercial AC applications.

Emerson announces the launch of its new Copeland™ 110cc variable speed scroll compressor and 36kW inverter drive solution; both manufactured in China and available for global distribution. These new products are engineered to help save energy and provide environmentally friendly improvements for a broad range of commercial air-conditioning applications including chillers, data centres and package air conditioners, advancing sustainability.

Energy conservation building codes and guidelines are fast advancing in many countries. As part of its commitment to The Paris Agreement, India aims to significantly lower its carbon footprint, which points to the significant and urgent need to develop and use products and systems that support the reduction of carbon emissions.

As India paves the way to carbon-neutrality, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) of commercial air-conditioning systems face fast-evolving and stringent requirements and are being challenged to provide air-conditioning systems that meet these standards. Air-conditioning typically accounts for 40 to 60 percent of energy consumption within commercial buildings, signifying those air-conditioning systems need to become more energy-efficient to comply with building codes and regulations.
